Beautiful mid-century cream wool topper jacket (or cropped coat) with a lovely embroidered floral detail along the hem and sleeves. The front closes with one tassel tie at the centre. There is gathering at the shoulders and the sleeves are flared. It's lined in a cream satin trimmed with pink ribbon bias tape.

Perfect to pair with a dress for an evening out! These type of outer layers would often come with a matching dress in the 1950s but if this once had one, it has been lost to time. We could see ladies wearing this type of jacket to the opera or some other fancy evening event. Today with our more versatile dressing options, it can be dressed down and we can see this looking good with a pair of jeans in the pub for a few drinks with the girls! It would also be the perfect holiday party jacket, with a red dress perhaps? Definitely lots of styling options; we can't wait too see what you do with it!

CONDITION: Very good condition. There is a tiny stain on the top of the right front shoulder and one small hole. There is one other very, very tiny, light stain on the front right side. 

This jacket has been hand washed and steamed.
